Elf-a-Morphis!
Bonnie and Clyde have been knocked down by a virus this week, so not much to share. Here’s a glimpse of them on a happier day, though. Hopefully they’ll be back to dancing soon!

The house is being cleaned, the cookies are being planned, the Christmas card photo has been taken … that’s right, it’s the official count down to Christmas! Since we were lame about decorating for the other holidays this year, Bonnie and Clyde have insisted that we start decorating early this year, and they think we’ll have our tree by next weekend. All righty, then, I guess we better get going!
Last year we baked 56 dozen cookies. I’m not sure I want to tackle that big a job again this year – that was almost 700 cookies that got baked. Thank goodness I didn’t eat them all. But now that I look at last year’s list, it’s going to be pretty close to the same this year. Yow. Okay, plan an extra day for baking.
When my friend, Jill, heard that the kids were learning Christmas carols on the piano, she put in her request that Clyde learn O Holy Night So, he did. For your listening pleasure, some Christmas carols from Bonnie and Clyde.
O Holy Night
Merry Christmas, Darling!
Angels We Have Heard on High
Jingle Bell Rock – still needs some work, but that’s pretty tricky for her little hands!

The last week of November was pretty uneventful for school, though the kids did discover that if they actually do their WORK instead of DAWDLING, that they have a remarkably easy Friday. Go figure, eh! Let’s see if that carries into the next week!
Clyde finally finished his macaw art project.

It was fairly complicated – it took 3 weeks to work on it in class, and then he brought it home to color it in. So, they’re finally going to move out of the Rain Forest. Bonnie’s class has already moved on to Antarctica, but she didn’t bring her picture home, so I have no idea what’s on it yet. Oh yeah, penguins.
This was the last week of kids’ yoga until after the New Year, so both kids are sad about that. Remember the instructor who taught the Brownie Scouts? She made a neat little pipe-cleaner yogi? You can see the picture here, if you’ve forgotten.
Well, she brought in pipe-cleaners for the kids, and they created yogis doing various poses. Clyde’s favorite pose of this season was one that one of the other students created, called “Full Moon Pose”. It’s not what you’re thinking!
It’s a partner pose – with each partner doing Ardha Chandrasana (Half Moon Pose), facing each other, and interlocking hands.
That’s about it. Bonnie and Clyde are disappointed to not be in the current drama production, but honestly, with the chaos of the holidays, it was just a little too much to handle right now. But stay tuned for the next post – it should have a little taste of Christmas for you.
